According to McKinsey, between <strong data-start=\"318\" data-end=\"348\">65% and 71% of companies<\/strong> have already adopted generative AI in at least one function &#8211; compared with just 33% a year earlier. Gartner even predicts that <strong data-start=\"473\" data-end=\"564\">over 80% of enterprise software will incorporate AI functionality by 2027<\/strong>.  <\/p><p data-start=\"569\" data-end=\"951\">The figures are impressive, but they mask a reality: in the majority of cases, AI is still perceived as a <strong data-start=\"688\" data-end=\"707\">tactical lever<\/strong>, confined to automating certain tasks. Yet, on closer inspection, AI acts above all as an <strong data-start=\"822\" data-end=\"848\">organizational mirror<\/strong>. It reveals inertia, unquestioned managerial routines and governance flaws.  <\/p><p data-start=\"953\" data-end=\"1138\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"953\" data-end=\"1138\">So the question is not just <em data-start=\"993\" data-end=\"1019\">&#8220;what tools should we adopt?&#8221;<\/em> but <em data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1135\">&#8220;what is AI forcing us to rethink in the way we run and organize the company?&#8221;.<\/em><\/p><h2 data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1201\"> <\/h2><h2 data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1201\">Experimental but rarely strategic uses<\/h2><p data-start=\"1202\" data-end=\"1447\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"1202\" data-end=\"1447\">In most organizations, AI is being adopted in a scattered way. Human resources, marketing or customer services are testing use cases such as content authoring, lead pre-qualification or document automation. <\/p><p data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1604\">But according to one expert interviewed, &#8220;most customers are not integrating AI at a strategic level. Its use remains mainly operational&#8221;.<\/p><p data-start=\"1606\" data-end=\"1813\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"1606\" data-end=\"1813\">The <strong>result<\/strong>: AI speeds up tasks&#8230; without transforming the structure that decides on those tasks. An extra layer of efficiency, but no reflection on <strong data-start=\"1759\" data-end=\"1767\">meaning<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1772\" data-end=\"1787\">governance<\/strong> or<strong data-start=\"1793\" data-end=\"1810\">overall impact<\/strong>. <\/p><p data-start=\"1606\" data-end=\"1813\"> <\/p><h2 data-start=\"1820\" data-end=\"1898\">Governance still ill-suited to the age of intelligent automation<\/h2><p data-start=\"1899\" data-end=\"2078\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"1899\" data-end=\"2078\">Many executives admit they don&#8217;t know <strong data-start=\"1950\" data-end=\"1981\">what strategic issue<\/strong> AI is supposed to solve. Enthusiastic about the tools, they often lack a <strong data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2075\">compass<\/strong>. <\/p><p data-start=\"2080\" data-end=\"2102\">Major obstacles :<\/p><ul data-start=\"2103\" data-end=\"2263\"><li data-start=\"2103\" data-end=\"2129\"><p data-start=\"2105\" data-end=\"2129\">persistent silos,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2130\" data-end=\"2170\"><p data-start=\"2132\" data-end=\"2170\">fragmented decision-making circuits,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2171\" data-end=\"2263\"><p data-start=\"2173\" data-end=\"2263\">a lack of alignment between AI, corporate vision and key skills projection.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2265\" data-end=\"2336\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"2265\" data-end=\"2336\">As Maximilien Brabec points out in Harvard Business Review:<\/p><ol data-start=\"2337\" data-end=\"2528\"><li data-start=\"2337\" data-end=\"2420\"><p data-start=\"2340\" data-end=\"2420\">When each silo develops &#8220;its own AI&#8221;, existing silos are exacerbated.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2421\" data-end=\"2528\"><p data-start=\"2424\" data-end=\"2528\">Applying AI to an already complex and inefficient organization prevents any real value creation.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><p data-start=\"2530\" data-end=\"2656\">An MIT study shows that <strong data-start=\"2569\" data-end=\"2653\">95% of generative AI projects fail to deliver any return on investment<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"2658\" data-end=\"2879\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"2658\" data-end=\"2879\">You can&#8217;t put an intelligent tool on top of a poorly thought-out process. The first step is to carry out an <strong data-start=\"2756\" data-end=\"2788\">&#8220;organizational weeding<\/strong> &#8220;: simplifying, clarifying what really creates value and removing what gets in the way. <\/p><p data-start=\"2658\" data-end=\"2879\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"2658\" data-end=\"2879\"> <\/p><h2 data-start=\"2886\" data-end=\"2943\">The illusion of time saved without real transformation<\/h2><p data-start=\"2944\" data-end=\"3074\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"2944\" data-end=\"3074\">In the short term, AI often brings productivity gains. Automate, simplify, streamline: yes, but for what? <\/p><p data-start=\"3076\" data-end=\"3128\">Many companies have yet to redefine :<\/p><ul data-start=\"3129\" data-end=\"3203\"><li data-start=\"3129\" data-end=\"3151\"><p data-start=\"3131\" data-end=\"3151\"><strong data-start=\"3135\" data-end=\"3148\">functions<\/strong>,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"3152\" data-end=\"3170\"><p data-start=\"3154\" data-end=\"3170\"><strong data-start=\"3158\" data-end=\"3167\">roles<\/strong>,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"3171\" data-end=\"3203\"><p data-start=\"3173\" data-end=\"3203\">and <strong data-start=\"3180\" data-end=\"3200\">key skills<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"3205\" data-end=\"3358\">As a result, AI becomes a <strong data-start=\"3233\" data-end=\"3256\">high-performance<\/strong> but non-transformative <strong data-start=\"3233\" data-end=\"3256\">patch<\/strong>. Surface economies, with no business overhaul or strategic vision. <\/p><p data-start=\"3360\" data-end=\"3400\">As one manager pointed out:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"3401\" data-end=\"3536\"><p data-start=\"3403\" data-end=\"3536\">&#8220;AI advances differently in different sectors, but it can&#8217;t be used well if you haven&#8217;t mastered the initial task.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote><h2 data-start=\"3543\" data-end=\"3592\"> <\/h2><h2 data-start=\"3543\" data-end=\"3592\">Rethinking governance before technology<\/h2><p data-start=\"3593\" data-end=\"3742\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"3593\" data-end=\"3742\">The real question is not <em data-start=\"3625\" data-end=\"3648\">&#8220;which AI should I adopt?&#8221;,<\/em> but <em data-start=\"3655\" data-end=\"3739\">&#8220;what does AI force me to rethink in order to create a new form of value?&#8221;.<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"3744\" data-end=\"3956\">This implies a <strong data-start=\"3764\" data-end=\"3791\">paradigm shift<\/strong>, not a simple update of tools.<\/p><p data-start=\"3744\" data-end=\"3956\">Governance must evolve so that AI becomes a <strong data-start=\"3894\" data-end=\"3923\">strategic amplifier<\/strong>, not a technical patch.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"3963\" data-end=\"4011\"> <\/h2><h2 data-start=\"3963\" data-end=\"4011\">Conclusion: AI mirrors your weaknesses<\/h2><p data-start=\"4012\" data-end=\"4201\">AI is not just a tool for automation. It&#8217;s a <strong data-start=\"4073\" data-end=\"4133\">life-size test for corporate governance<\/strong>. It reveals blind spots, silos and areas of inaction.  <\/p><p data-start=\"4203\" data-end=\"4238\">To get real value out of it:<\/p><ul data-start=\"4239\" data-end=\"4365\"><li data-start=\"4239\" data-end=\"4268\"><p data-start=\"4241\" data-end=\"4268\">simplify your processes,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4269\" data-end=\"4308\"><p data-start=\"4271\" data-end=\"4308\">align your strategic decisions,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4309\" data-end=\"4365\"><p data-start=\"4311\" data-end=\"4365\">and dare to question your managerial routines.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"4367\" data-end=\"4498\"> <\/p><h4 data-start=\"4367\" data-end=\"4498\">Because AI won&#8217;t transform your governance for you.
